How The Cowry App Works

    Download the COWRY app from google play or apple store.

    Register it with the same phone number you used to register your card.

    Wait for the next bus to your destination.

    Click on the “pay with QR” code option on the dashboard

    Scan the QR code pasted on the bus to tap in.

    Scan the generated ticket on your phone before alighting at your destination to tap out.

Difference Between Your Wallet and Card

Your phone mobile wallet serves as your online mode of payment, while your card serves as your offline mode of payment.

They both work differently here is an outlined difference of the both payment system. This process created in other to create a seamless way of commuting, regardless of network coverage or not.

  • Card- (offline payment)

    Your Card is your offline mode of payment to get on the BRT bus. It does not work like the atm card.

  • Wallet- (online payment)

    Your mobile wallet is your online mode to get in the bus. This works by topping up your wallet.

Wallet To Card Transfer Is Done Using The Self Service or Customer Care At The Terminal

Visit the self service terminal or customer service agent at the terminal to transfer money from your wallet to card. They are stationed at every terminal in Lagos to make commuting easy for you.
